Some Movie Talks

Top Gun Maverick Part 3 might be released soon

Top Gun Maverick

Top Gun Maverick: Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of Top Gun: Maverick, speculates that Tom Cruise may be too busy to make Top Gun 3. To prepare a new generation of fighter pilots for a risky mission, Cruise reprises his legendary role as the film’s test pilot in Top Gun: Maverick, a sequel to the 1986 classic.

The much-anticipated sequel, which debuted in theaters on May 27, has been a genuine box office sensation this year, earning close to $1.5 billion while playing in theaters. Despite the fact that it is Cruise’s decision, there has been much talk regarding a second sequel due to this enormous success.

When will Tom Cruise return to the role of Maverick? Top Gun Maverick

If Cruise wants to work on Top Gun 3, Bruckheimer addressed it in a recent interview with THR. The action actor may be too busy for another sequel in the near future, according to the Top Gun: Maverick producer, who lists his several impending projects.

He’s concentrating on the Mission: Impossible 8 movie that he’s shooting. Then we may discuss when he has finished. Later on, he goes to space and tries something different [for an undisclosed Universal movie]. So I don’t know anything.

Given Cruise’s impeccable work ethic, it is regrettable that the top Gun: Maverick producer’s response was quite underwhelming. After the successful release of his previous movie, Top Gun: Maverick,

Tom Cruise will return to the role of IMF agent Ethan Hunt in the upcoming project, Impossible – Dead Reckoning – Part One, which has finished filming and is slated to hit theatres on July 14. Cruise is now shooting mission: not possible – useless Reckoning, element two, according to Bruckheimer, and the movie will be released on June 28, 2024.

The actor will once more work with director Doug Liman, with whom they previously cooperated on the film The Edge of Tomorrow. It will be produced in collaboration with Elon Musk’s company SpaceX and will be shot on the International Space Station. It may feature scenes where Cruise is suspended in space.

Bruckheimer cites “something more” while speaking about Cruise’s forthcoming projects, which is probably the mystery film that Mission: Impossible director Christopher McQuarrie teased earlier this year. Bruckheimer’s remarks strongly suggest that if another sequel does happen, it won’t be for a while, even though they do not completely rule out the prospect of Top Gun 3. Hopefully, there won’t be a 30-year gap between Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick like there was in the past.
