Will Hannah get married to Andrew? | Chapter 14

By the time Hannah reached her home, Selena was already waiting for her.

“Hey you’ve come, I’ve made your favorite mushroom soup, fish and chips, let’s have dinner.” Selena said with a smile.

“I don’t want to eat, you eat.” Hannah said with a sad face

“Why don’t I? Have I worked so hard to eat alone? Come early, eat it hot before everything gets cold.” Selena urged.

Hannah knew it was useless to ask Selena to eat alone, she always cooked for Hannah with all her heart, both friends always like to enjoy eating together, Hannah did not want to spoil Selena’s mood because of her, Anyway, she did not eat properly in front of Andrew Rust, now that Selena has cooked her favorite food, it is better to eat the food. Thinking this, she sat down to eat quietly.

Both the friends had spent so much time together in college time that they were fully aware of each other’s taste, even both of them had same cooking style.

“How’s the food?” Selena asked.

“Your cooking has become even better by going to Italy, it is really wonderful.” Hannah picked up the fish and said.

“That’s right.” Selena said with a big smile.

“Hey tell me how is your work going?” Selena asked, seriously.

“I’m doing fine Actually this task is not as difficult as I thought.” Hannah said with a sigh.

Seeing her face, Selena got a little suspicious, “Your words and expressions do not match, what are you hiding, what is bothering you?”

“No, nothing like that,” Hannah said, rolling her eyes.

“Don’t try to be smart, tell me clearly what is the matter?” Said Selena, showing false anger, she knew very well that no matter how big the deal, Hannah would take everything on her own but would not tell anything to anyone.

“Tell the truth, did your boss do something outright wrong?” Selena could guess that there must be something related to Hannah’s boss.

“I don’t know. …I mean at times I feel as if he is taking too much interest in me. I have clearly told him many times that I do not want to have any other relationship other than professional relationship with my boss, but still he keeps on hinting with some excuse or the other.” Hannah said hesitantly.

“Oh that’s the thing, I already guessed that Andrew Rust is interested in you. Well he is handsome and very rich too, I don’t think you will find a better guy than this, anyway you are old enough to get married.” Selena teased.

“Don’t sprout nonsense, I don’t like this kind of thing at all. Guys like Andrew Rust take interest in girls like us only for the time-pass. Those people marry only in a business house.
I do not live in the fantasy of romantic relationships. What’s the use of imagining something you can’t get?
I want to live a simple life.” Hannah said a little irritated.

“Okay now don’t bother yourself. Let’s go to bed early now. I have to go early tomorrow morning. The grenade launcher I designed is going to be tested tomorrow.” Saying this Selena started removing the empty plates and bowls from the dining table.

After this both of them washed the dishes together and cleaned the kitchen.

By the time Hannah woke up the next day, Selena was gone. Hannah quickly got ready and went to the kitchen. Selena had made him breakfast before leaving. Selena was the only person in the whole world who really loves her, Hannah happily had breakfast and then leaves for her office.
