Mr. Bills is a man of authority | Chapter 9

“Cough…cough…cough, Hannah’s food got stuck in her throat, due to embarrassment. She lowered her head.

“Thanks but I don’t have time for personal life.” Doris Bills replied.

“Miss Smith, why don’t you introduce me to her? After all, I am a bachelor too. Andrew Rust said, staring at Hannah. Don’t know why, but he didn’t like Selena’s offer to Doris Bills like this.

“Mr. Rust, You yourself are so active that you will have no shortage of girls, and then in your group there will be beautiful girls working one after the other, my offer was limited only for the chief, after all he does not have time to find a girl for himself.”Selena mocked.

“Really! I mean, Mr. Bills is also a man of authority, he could pick any girl just with the snap of a finger. Why do you think he is too lazy to find a girlfriend? There could be a possibility that he doesn’t like to bear the responsibility. Am I right, Chief?” Andrew retorted with a sly smirk.

After listening to his words; Doris Bills crooked one of his eyebrows and said, “It seems Mr. Rust is really interested in my private life, or do you like to gossip like women?”

Listening to his remarks, Andrew Rust’s face became ashen. He immediately dropped the fork he was holding in his hand, got up and said, “Chief I don’t have time to care about anybody else’s personal life, suddenly I remember that tomorrow I have an important meeting with some foreign delegates  so I am leaving. Let’s talk about this matter some other day.” He looked at Hannah and said, “Miss Morphis, see you in the office.” After that bade his goodbye and left.

Though it was a sudden reaction but nobody paid any heed except Doris Bills, he gave smirked, looked at Selena and said, Miss Smith I’m really in need of a girlfriend but I have some strict criteria and most of the girls, introduced by others do not stand fit in that. If you really have any good recommendations, then I would like to take a chance.”

“Oh, if that’s the case, let me officially introduce you to my friend……” As Selena was just about to point her finger towards Hannah, Hannah sprang as if she was sitting on needles, she said embarrassedly, “Excuse me suddenly I remembered that I had not made enough preparations for tomorrow’s meeting. Sorry Selena but I cannot join you anymore for further activities, you guys carry on.” Saying this she was about to go when Selena suddenly grabbed her hand,

“You just can’t betray me like this, you had promised me to accompany whole day today.”

then she turned towards Doris Bills, “Chief, let’s leave this topic here today, I’ll introduce to you a promising girl.” then without waiting for Doris Bills’ reply she pulled Hannah  and said,

“Let’s go swimming. Chief, Christy would you mind joining us?”

As soon as she finished her speaking, she was dragged outside of cottage by Hannah.

“What do you think, do you still want to catch up with her?” Christy asked, darting her eyes at Doris Bills.

At first, she couldn’t believe why her aloof cousin, who never gets time even for family gatherings, suddenly asked her to accompany her to this place to spend a leisure day.  But now after this episode, she guessed that there must be something going on in Doris’ mind that’s too related to Hannah.

“Don’t think recklessly, you are here to accompany me all day today, off course we are going to enjoy it. You introduced me to your friends and now we can not let them go away without any reason, and who said that it’s better to have more companions on a picnic.” Doris Bills reminded her of what she said to Hannah and Selena earlier.

Listening to his reasoning, Christy became speechless. She suddenly found that she was tricked by this cousin of hers. Yet She couldn’t do anything, her entire family scare off by this person. If Doris Bills didn’t allow she even couldn’t call him cousin publicly.

Doris Bills put on his hat and headed to find those two girls. Christy followed him, curiously. She wanted to know the reason that made her powerful cousin chase these ordinary girls.

It was quite windy. Soon she spotted both her friends. They both had changed into swimwear and they were enjoying swimming in the river. When she heard somebody calling her. She looked around and saw that her cousin was also enjoying the water. Forgetting her confusion, she quickly took off her skirt, underneath she was wearing her swimwear, she ran fast and dived into the water. After almost one an hour swimming, all of them came out of the water. At this moment, they all were completely exhausted except Doris Bills. He was still looking energetic and damn handsome.

“Let’s go back, it will take us three hours to reach at home. We will have to catch some rest to work properly tomorrow.” Hannah addressed Selena but she was heard by all of them.

“No way, I am too tired to walk even a few steps let alone drive at this moment.” Selena shouted in disagreement.

“We have a base camp, a few kilometers from here, I and Christy are going for a quick rest, you both can join us, I have a subordinate who will drive your car to the base camp.” Doris Bills offered.

“Thank you for your offer but……” As Hannah was about to decline his offer, Selena interrupted her, “But? ….. what but, we are happy to accept your offer, thank you Chief. I really need a relaxing massage or a quick nap would work too. Let’s go.” Saying this, Selena started dragging her trolley without giving Hanna any chance to reject the offer.

Seeing her doing this, Hannah became intent and, finding no other option, started following her silently.

Seeing the two of them go ahead, Doris Bills smiled to himself, looked at Christie and said, “Let’s go.”

Just within half an hour, they all reached base camp it was an Army camp which was set up on the outskirts of the City it was A well-guarded place. No civilian can enter the base camp without prior permission from Authority but with Doris Bills accompanying them, they had no problem for the girls to enter the base area.  

Doris Bills arranged separate rooms for them to rest. He also arranged a massage for each of them. With such a relaxing atmosphere, it took them no time to fall asleep.
