Hannah will go to the Village | Chapter 7

“Let’s not talk about this right now, whatever happens will be seen, don’t forget you are not alone, I am with you right! Have you had dinner or not?” Selena asked.

“I am going to cook, what will you eat?” Hannah asked.

“Anything you prepare will do, you know how much I like the food cooked by you. My mouth is already watering.” Selena said, licking her lips.

“Alright, I’m cooking tomato soup, egg curry, and noodles, okay?” Asked Hannah

“Excellent, do you have wine?” Selena asked, looking around.

“Yes, take it out from the front cabinet there.” Hannah replied while taking out vegetables and eggs from the fridge.

Hannah washed the tomatoes and put them on the gas to boil and started chopping garlic, celery and other vegetables.

Within an hour, Egg Curry, Tomato Soup, Stir Fried Vegetables and Noodles are ready. Both the friends quickly put the food on the dining table. Fill their respective glasses with wine and start eating.

“After a long time, I am having such a delicious food.”

Selena said while putting food in her mouth.

“Then have more.” Said Hannah while putting more food in her plate.

“By the way, keep your Sunday empty.” Said Selena.

“Why?” Asked Hannah, while chewing the food.

“I want to introduce you to someone.” Selena said showing a big smile.

“With whom do you want to introduce me now, now don’t say that you have a cousin and you want to make us a couple, right?”Hannah asked, showing a fake anger. Selena was desperate  to find a suitor for Hannah.

“Why not, after all you are of marriageable age too. Selena teased her.

“Not at all, I am very busy and I am not interested in any of your relatives besides I think you are too bored to live alone so I think I should find a man for you.” Hannah retorted.

“I’m fine waiting for Bryan. You don’t have to work on this matter. Ok fine, don’t be fussy, I want to take you fishing.”

“Be ready at 5 in the morning, we will go to the village, there is nothing more fun than sitting in the natural environment and fishing.” Selena revealed her motive.

After eating, Selena bade farewell to Hannah and left. Soon Sunday arrived, Selena arrived at the gate of Hannah’s society at exactly 5 p.m.

“Hey babe, come quickly, I’m standing at the gate of your community.” Selena called and said.

“I’m arriving in a little while.” Hannah confirmed

After a drive of about three hours, both of them reached a village far away from the city.

Hannah was surprised to see that they weren’t the only two who had come there for fishing. Rather there was a queue of many vehicles.

“I had thought that you would take me to some deserted place so that both of us could spend some time peacefully, but it seems that the whole city’s crowd has come.” Hannah complained.

“I myself wonder how this place has become so popular in just a few months? It used to be a really isolated place.” Even Selena was amazed to see the crowd over there.

Actually, she did know that this place was a good picnic place but she had never imagined that it could be that famous. Judging from the row of luxurious cars, this place could be considered as an island for riches.

“Never mind let’s move ahead we have to catch a lot fish today, if you are lucky enough; maybe you can get a shark for yourself.” Selena winked meaningfully towards Hannah.

“Keep your naughty thoughts lock in your mind and help me take out stuff from the trunk.” Hannah rebuked while rolling her eyes. This friend of her knows no limit when she thinks about dirty things.  

She quickly took out the basket from the trunk of the car containing all the food items, a fishing rod bag containing their clothes and a bag with a small tent. Keeping all these items in a foldable trolley, they both walked towards the destination.

After walking about 100 meters, suddenly seeing the front view, both of their feet were stuck in the ground. Such a beautiful sight, as if they had come to another world. A very beautiful river was flowing in front of him whose water was transparent. The banks of the river were very beautifully developed.

The best part about this place is that it has mountains all around and one can get small huts on rent here.

People can spend their afternoon along the riverside, chilling and relaxing. There were also many stalls of local food that people can eat there.

The river was so transparent that a variety of fish could be seen very easily and there was no need for any rod for fishing. One can easily catch them with bare hands if he was vigilant enough.

“When I was very young I used to come here with my parents, at that time it used to be a deserted but beautiful place. But it seems as if its beauty has increased manifolds with the passage of time.” Selena said, recalling her childhood days.

“It’s really beautiful but there’s a huge crowd. It doesn’t look like we’ll be able to sit here for a while,” Hannah sighed.

“Hey Selena, how are you here?” someone called them from behind.

Hearing a familiar voice, the two friends turned back together and found Christie standing in front of them.

Hannah didn’t say anything when she saw Christy, but Selena burst into anger.

“Despite what you did, do you still have the guts to face us? I didn’t even think you would be so shameless.” Selena rebuked Christy.

“I have apologized to Selena Hannah, whatever happened I did not do it intentionally, yet if you think you can’t forgive me then I am ready for any kind of punishment. Please punish me or forgive me for the sake of old friendship.” Christy knelt down in front of them without caring about the people.

Seeing Christy bowed like this melted the hearts of both friends, after all, the truth was that Christy did not intentionally target Hannah.

“Well, stand up, don’t embarrass us by doing all this here. I can probably forgive you for the old friendship’s sake, but Hannah, you know how much she went through because of your such action.

“Well, I have already forgiven you, our friendship is not new, whatever you did, cannot be changed but yes I will not be able to trust you again so soon.” Hannah sighed.

Thanks for giving me another chance, as long as you are ready to give me one more chance, I will do whatever it takes to gain your earlier trust. Christy said, wiping her tears.

“Well, with whom did you come here?” Selena asked.

“Umm, I have come here with one of my cousins, he is fishing in that area. Have you also come for fishing, come join us, my cousin is very good at fishing, he has caught a lot of fish, we alone will not be able to cook and finish so many fish, it’s always better to have more companions at  picnic.” Saying this, without waiting for their reply, Christy grabbed their trolley and started dragging the trolley in direction where she just pointed. Seeing her not stopping, both of them started walking after her, helplessly.

In just few seconds, they were standing behind a man, although he was sitting with his back facing them but still he was giving a feeling of a powerful person. His sitting posture was perfect as if he was on an army mission, straight and alert.
