Hannah Morphis Daughter of Hardy Morphis | Chapter 4

He also left the party hall and directly went to his base camp. It was not an ordinary camp but almost a highly secured palace. 

There were about fifty soldiers guarding that palace like camp. 

Doris Bolt arrives at his office, answering everyone’s salute.

As soon as he entered his office his gaze fixed on the file lying on the table.

The first thing he noticed was the pictures of Hannah as he opened the file. It contained about ten photos of Hannah from childhood till now. In only one photo she was with her parents, in the rest she was alone.  

Doris picked up all the photos and put them aside then started reading the printed information in the file.

Hannah Morphis Daughter of Hardy Morphis and Nancy Rise. She was living a difficult life since her childhood. Her mother had divorced her father for a rich man leaving Hannah with her father. After her father’s second marriage with Biannna Mills Hannah was abandoned by her father too. Although the first few years she was living with her father, her father had never paid attention to her needs. Since a tender age of thirteen years, she was supporting her study and her livelihood on her own. 

In the beginning, she had worked as a babysitter and temporary maid for rich people. Later she started to take tuitions.

She had always been an intense student and received scholarships throughout her studies.

After completing her education, Hannah had been working as an assistant general manager in a B grade company. She had joined this group as an intern, and within a short period of four years, she had got four promotions due to her hard work and sincerity. This company has been taken over by Imperial Group just three days ago.

On the 25th of last month, she was doing a reunion with her college mates that suddenly she left the party in the middle and went somewhere. 

There are reports that she drank too much or that someone had drugged her. After that day she did not go to office for about four days. 

A comment was written at the end of the report: Two days ago suddenly New management has added Hannah to the procurement team and she is now working directly under Andrew Rust.

After reading the report, Doris Bills picked up the file and kept it in his safe.

Then he picked up the mobile and called Wilson Brown, “Keep an eye on Hannah, I want her daily report also ensure her safety.” Saying this, he hung up the phone. 

Wilson Brown was not at all surprised to hear these instructions, after all she is the only woman who broke his chief’s penance. 

When Hannah woke up the next morning she wasn’t in her apartment, terrified she looked around, it was probably a hotel room. 

She checked her clothes first, there was nothing wrong with it, she was still wearing last night’s gown. After examining herself thoroughly she heaved a sigh of relief. 

Luckily nothing wrong happened to her last night. Hannah was about to get up and go to the bathroom when suddenly her mobile phone rang.

It was Andrew Rust’s call, she picked up the call. 

“Good morning Miss Morphis, how are you feeling now? You drank too much last night and was not in your senses. Because you have not updated your new address in the office, so I had to drop you in the hotel under compulsion, hope you will not mind.” Andrew Rust said apologetically. 

“Thanks for dropping me off at the hotel safely.” Hannah said gratefully.

“Don’t be so humble, it was my duty. I have sent someone with clothes for you, please change and come directly to the office.

Just at that time the doorbell rang, Hannah opened the door and found Ana Sang, her assistant standing in front of her. 

“Miss Morphis.” Ana greeted her in a soft voice.

She was carrying two bags in her both hands. 

“Come in.” Hannah gave way her to come in then she talked to Andrew Rust who was still on the call,

“Mr. Rust, I’ll hang up first, I will be in the office within an hour.” Saying this she hung up the call. 

After that she changed clothes, had breakfast with Ana Song and left for the office. 

“Chief, Miss Morphis stayed in the hotel last night and she has just left for her office.” An agent informed Doris Bills.

“Anything special?”Doris Bills asked. 

“No, she was alone all night, just now her assistant had come to drive her to office.” The agent explained. 

“Keep watching and do not discovered by anyone.” Saying this Doris Bills hung up.  

Hannah directly reached Andrew Rust’s office. 

Andrew Rust got up from his seat as soon as Hannah stepped into the office as he was waiting for her,  Andrew Rust lifted his coat which was hanging on the chair and said, “It is good that you have come this time, let’s go or else we will be late for the meeting, I will explain the details to you on the way.” 

Without giving Hannah a chance to think, he grabbed her hand and hurriedly dragged her into the elevator and within minutes they were in the limousine. 

“Look at these files. This one is containing quotations for the supply of new weapons to the Defense Ministry and this is having details of objections made by ministry on our last contract have a look later we have to negotiate with the deputed officer. ”Andrew Rust  said handing over a few files to Hannah. 

“Oh Ok.” Saying this Hannah started to look into the file. 

An hour later the limousine reached outside the defense ministry, after a very strict checking, the car entered the ministry. 

Soon they were directed to a meeting room. Both of them were sitting and discussing when the door of the meeting room opened and a handsome man came in.

Andrew Rust got up from his seat when he saw the person coming.

Seeing Andrew standing up, Hannah stood up too. As Hannah saw the man standing in front of her, her eyes widened in surprise. Isn’t it last night’s Doris Bills?

Just now she was thinking that when Andrew Rust’s voice came in her ears.

“Mr. Bills, nice to meet you.” He extended his hand to shake hands with Mr. Bills. 

“Glad to meet you again.” Doris Bills shook his hand with Andrew Rust. 

“Good morning Mr. Bills.” Hanna also greeted him in a professional tone. 

“Good morning Miss Morphis.”Doris Bills replied in a serious tone. 

“We are here for negotiation about the new contract.” Andrew Rust continued. 

“Mr. Rust, I’ve already told you that until you take back your defaulted weapons the department won’t consider your new proposal.” Doris Bills replied in a serious tone. 

“Mr. Bills, you know that the previous consignment was sent only after a thorough testing. Those weapons didn’t have any manufacturing defects but still we can only repair that lot by taking it back, as far as replacing the whole lot is concerned, I am afraid it is not possible.”Andrew Rust said, slyly. 

“Then you also forget about the new contract, we can’t take risk of our precious soldiers’ lives.” Doris Bills retorted. 

Andrew’s mood was not affected at all after seeing Mr. Bills’ tough attitude. He immediately took out his trump card and said.

“Mr. Bills, you are really a man of principles, you don’t want to risk anyone’s life unless there is an insignificant person.” 

“What do you mean?” Doris Bills frowned.  

“I mean you have some hidden secrets too.” He said, looking carefully at Doris Bills’face. 

“Andrew Rust are you trying to blackmail me with something.” This time Doris Bills’  voice was more serious than last time.  

If Andrew Rust hadn’t had full faith in his plan, he wouldn’t have come to negotiate with Doris Bills.
