Specifications and launch date of the Vivo X Fold 2

Vivo X Fold 2

Vivo X Fold 2: Vivo is one of the few companies that has already entered the foldable smartphone market,

Although it may not be the first company that comes to mind.

Vivo X Fold was introduced by the firm earlier this year,

And current rumors indicate that the company is working on both a folding and a flipping phone.

According to a recent leak from Digital Chat Station, a reputable leaker on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo,

Vivo will introduce the Vivo X Fold 2 and the Vivo X Flip in the first half of 2022.

After the Snapdragon 8, Gen 1-powered X Fold, and the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1-powered X Fold Plus,

All of which were released in 2022, the X Fold 2 may be the third Vivo foldable.

Although the launch of the phone in India is still unknown, if the first-generation X Fold is any indication, we might not see a launch outside of China.

Vivo X Fold 2: What is currently known

The phone will succeed the Vivo X Fold, indicating that Vivo would likely continue to brand all of its foldable devices under the X-series, much like Samsung does with the Z-series.

The leaker said that the phone might include a 2K foldable display.

Two under-display fingerprint sensors will be used in conjunction with this, one for the bigger, foldable inner display and the other for the smaller outside display.

The main camera will include a Sony IMX866 sensor, and the phone is anticipated to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU.

Although further information about the device is still lacking, more leaks should start to appear in the coming weeks.

There will be other folding phones available this year in addition to the Vivo X Fold. Additionally, it will be up against the first foldable Pixel phone and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 sequel.
